Abstract

Background: Mechanical neck pain is most prevalent in this era, fascia is the soft tissue component of the connective
tissue network that pervades the human body and creates a continuous, three-dimensional structural support
matrix throughout the entire body .stretching the fascia with the principles of fascial stretch therapy enables us to
treat those patients.
Methodology: 15 Subjects were assigned in single group and underwent fascial stretch therapy –Proprioceptive
neuromuscular facilitation pattern technique for a period of 1 weeks and this study used a purposeful sampling
technique to assign patients.
Conclusion: The data were analysed using paired T test at 5% level of significance. There was a significant
improvement on pain and range of motion in the group. This study revealed that there is a significant improvement
in pain and ROM on subjects who underwent fascial stretch therapy.
